Princess Charlotte school: Has Princess Charlotte started school? When will she start?
Princess Charlotte is set to return to nursery school as the summer holidays come to a close – but has she already started?
The three-year-old is the second child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Charlotte, who is known for her cheeky persona, joined Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington, on January 8, 2018.
An adorable snap of her dressed for the occasion in a burgundy coat, pink scarf and beaming smile was later released by Kensington Palace.
Willcocks Nursery, located round the corner from the Royal Albert Hall, sits just a short 12 minute walk from Charlotte’s home at the royal palace.
Has Princess Charlotte started school?
Charlotte is set to go back to nursery on Wednesday this week as the Autumn Term 2018 begins on September 5.
She will be taught by either Mrs Rosa Rego Dias or Mrs Gillian Taylor, who are both listed on Willcock Nursery’s website as teachers for two to four-year-olds.
How much does it cost to attend Willcocks Nursery School?
The private nursery is rated “Outstanding” by OFSTED and costs £15,150 a year per child if they attend during the morning and afternoon.
Fees for September 2018 are £3,150 per term for morning sessions and £1,900 per term for afternoons.
OFSTED’s latest report said: “Children actively participate in activities that relate to all areas of learning.
“Topic themes include outings in the local community and visitors to the nursery.
“This enables children to gain first hand experiences that effectively consolidate their learning.”
Willcocks Nursery’s class sizes are exceptionally small with a teacher to child ratio of 1:8 in the mornings and 1:4 in the afternoons.
Headmistress Mrs Lavinia Taylor currently leads the team but the school was founded in 1964 by Mrs Diana Willcocks.
On its website, the prestigious establishment is described as a “traditional nursery school which strives to maintain its ethos for high standards, excellence and good manners”.
Which school does Prince George attend?
Older brother George, five, attends Thomas’s Academy in Battersea, so Charlotte does not have her sibling to rely on for support outside of the classroom.
Will Kate drop off her daughter at school?
With a big first day back at school this week, either Kate, Duchess of Cambridge or Prince William are expected to see off Charlotte at the school gates.
Both parents are known for being hands on with the school run.
Kate was only prevented from dropping off George on his first day last year as she was suffering from severe morning sickness at the time while pregnant with Prince Louis.
