Princess Charlotte and Prince George get Christmas trees in EACH bedroom says Kate’s mum
PRINCESS Charlotte and Prince George will each have a Christmas tree in their bedrooms, their grandmother Carole Middleton has revealed as she detailed the Middleton family’s Christmas plans at their £4.7 million mansion in Berkshire.
Kate’s mother Carole Middleton revealed her grandchildren George, five, and Charlotte three, have their own room when they stay with her in Bucklebury – and each with its own Christmas tree. In her first-ever interview, Mrs Middleton confessed her love for Christmas trees – admitting she has as many in the house as possible for the festive season. This includes a ‘fashionable’ tree with a clear theme, another filled with baubles from over the years and a tree in each of her grandchildren’s room “so that they can decorate it themselves”.
Speaking to The Telegraph, the 63-year-old described a typical Christmas at the Middleton household: “Generally we go to church in the morning, then a walk, open a few presents (with more in the evening).
“Then champagne and smoked salmon for lunch, and the main Christmas meal in the evening – but with young grandchildren, maybe we’ll move that forward and have it at lunchtime.”
The Christmas meal will feature the option of either a traditional or vegan Christmas dinner, as Mrs Middleton says she’s “recently gone vegan. Or should I say flexitarian”.
Despite reports Kate and William would spend Christmas with the Middleton’s, amid rumours of a ghastly row between the Duchess of Cambridge and Meghan Markle, they will spend Christmas at Sandringham House this year.
The couple will join Meghan and Harry, the Queen and other members of the Royal family at the Norfolk retreat.
