PRINCESS BEATRICE is looking forward to her wedding day which is due to take place this year, but what are the big changes the royal may face before her big day arrives?
Princess Beatrice announced her engagement to property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in September, after a romantic break to Italy. The couple released adorable engagement photos to mark the occasion, taken by Bea’s younger sister Princess Eugenie.
Royal experts have said Beatrice is seeking a more pared-down royal wedding celebration than that of her sister’s.
Royal correspondent Jennie Bond said on ITV’s Lorraine: “I think they’re going to have to rethink the arrangements for Beatrice’s wedding.
“She’s marrying a man called Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and I think they were planning something along the lines of Eugenie’s wedding.”
“There were outcries over security costs for the taxpayer,” she added, “and I don’t think they’ll want a similar embarrassment for Beatrice so I imagine that will be scaled down somewhat”.

Both ITV and the BBC have said they will not be airing Beatrice’s wedding, which may come as a shock to some as Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank in October 2018 was aired in a three-hour special on ITV.
Meghan Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry was given extensive coverage in May 2018.
Beatrice’s wish for a scaled-down wedding may come from the upheaval the Royal Family has faced of late.
In November, Bea’s father Prince Andrew announced he would be withdrawing from working royal life for “the foreseeable future”.

This was due to his appearance on a BBC Newsnight special, which saw presenter Emily Maitlis question the Duke of York’s relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The interview was dubbed a “car crash” and shortly afterwards charities, universities and companies associated with Andrew began cutting ties with the royal.
Prince Andrew announced he would withdraw from public duties adding in his statement: “I continue to unequivocally regret my ill-judged association with Jeffrey Epstein.
“His suicide has left many unanswered questions, particularly for his victims, and I deeply sympathise with everyone who has been affected and wants some form of closure.
“I can only hope that, in time, they will be able to rebuild their lives.
“Of course, I am willing to help any appropriate law enforcement agency with their investigations, if required.”
Now the Royal Family faces further upheaval after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their intention to “step back” from their roles as senior royals.
The Queen has called a crisis talk with senior royals and the Duke of Sussex on Monday in a bid to find a solution to Meghan and Harry’s future roles.

The head of state will be joined at her private Norfolk estate of Sandringham by the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge for the crunch meeting – where the “next steps” will be decided, a source told PA.
This could see Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie asked to step up and take on more royal responsibilities – with The Firm now down three senior royals.
Both Beatrice and Eugenie have full-time jobs outside of the Royal Family, but their grandmother the Queen could call on them in this time of need.
If Prince Harry relinquishes his titles in his quest to leave, it could make Beatrice a senior royal.

Prince Harry is sixth in line to the throne and his son Archie seventh, but without them, Beatrice would move up to sixth.
The Queen is expected to confirm Bea and Edo’s wedding date later the month, but the announcement may be placed on hold as things with Meghan and Harry are figured out.
The extent to which Harry and Meghan will retain their patronages and royal duties is up for debate, with other royals perhaps required to pick up their schedules.
A royal source said: “The family will gather on Monday at Sandringham to talk things through, attended by Her Majesty, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex.
“Following a series of meetings and consultations across the last few days, there are a range of possibilities for the family to review which take into account the thinking the Sussexes outlined earlier in the week.
“As we have said previously, making a change to the working life and role in the monarchy for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex requires complex and thoughtful discussions.
“Next steps will be agreed at the meeting, the request for this to be resolved at pace is still her Majesty’s wish – the aim remains days not weeks.
“There is genuine agreement and understanding that any decision will take time to be implemented.”
