PRINCESS BEATRICE and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have settled into married life now, following their secretive wedding at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple’s wedding correspondence with well-wishers has now emerged, as they thank those who wrote their congratulations.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi tied the knot in a toned-down ceremony earlier this year, opting for a subdued event amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They allegedly invited only close friends and family to attend, forgoing the trappings of a traditional royal wedding. But they nevertheless took the time to reach out to their well-wishers with a personal flourish.

Beatrice and Edoardo married three months ago in a secretive UK ceremony and only announced the occasion after the fact.

But this didn’t prevent people across the country from offering their congratulations.

According to a fan post on Instagram, people wrote to the couple and received a surprise response this month.

Royal fan account @TheDuchessOfWonderland posted Princess Eugenie and her husband’s response on their page yesterday.

The handwritten letters included thanks to those who wrote in and a tribute to key workers.

The coupled touched on their “magical” day, saying: “Thank you so much for the wonderful note you so kindly sent to us on the occasion of our wedding this summer at Royal Lodge.

“Edo and I had a magical day filled with special moments with our families.

“We are so grateful to all those who have worked hard to protect our communities over the last few months, we owe them so much.”

The couple also signed off with a flourish, and it appears they both added a signature.

They wrote: “Thank you for thinking of us as we begin our married life. Beatrice and Edo x.”

The fan praised the couple for their conduct, saying the letter was “so sweet and lovely” to include their thanks for key workers.

They said: “Look what the postman brought this morning, Princess Beatrice’s wedding reply.”

“I loved this photo so I’m so happy it was used and the card and the message inside is just so sweet and a lovely nod to all those who helped during the pandemic.”

Beatrice and Edoardo also thanked those who sent their wishes via Twitter.

They wrote own their account: “Thank you to everyone who has sent in and tweeted their best wishes for our special day in July.

“Edo and I are so excited to embark on this new chapter together.”

They initially planned to marry earlier this year on May 29, with a less public but still lavish ceremony at St James’ Palace.

COVID-19 forced them to postpone until July when they married behind closed doors.

Unlike the spectacle of the other weddings, the only publicity came afterwards when they released a collection of photos.

Few other details have emerged about the special day other than a comment from the Princess it was “so much fun”.
