PRINCESS BEATRICE and Princess Eugenie have demanded a “call for progress” in an unearthed video clip.

In the clip, the sisters addressed the SSE Arena in London on March 7, ahead of International Women’s day, to thousands of spectators. The speech, almost three years ago to the day, has been revisited ahead of the the 2021 event on Monday, March 8.

Princess Beatrice said: “Today, as sisters, we stand here to support not only each other but all women.

“Women who although they might have different passions, as we all do, are working together to impact great change.”

The 2018 event was hosted by WE, a charity dedicated to achieve sustainable change.

The clip was released within six months of the start of the #MeToo movement.

Princess Eugenie said: “Tomorrow, women of the world will come together to support each other, very publicly to mark International Women’s day.

“A day of reflection, community and yes a call for progress.”

She added: “It is also a day of celebration. Collectively, we’ll celebrate that passions come in many shapes and sizes and we’ll celebrate all of them.”

The sisters have been long advocates of International Women’s Day who have celebrated the event every year.

In 2020, the sisters paid tribute to some incredible women, thanking them for their work in the charity escort and for the NHS.

Princess Beatrice said: “We’ll celebrate the women and girls whose mindfulness makes people smile every day with simple acts of kindness.”

She also said that the celebration is for all those women who are supporting each other through life.

Princess Eugenie added: “We’ll celebrate those fighting for every girl’s right to an education, or to start their own business.

“We all need to be proud of our achievements and find the joy in them.”

At the end of the speech, showered with applause and cheers, Princess Beatrice said: “Boys and girls in respect and love. Tomorrow we are all sisters.”

On Thursday, Princess Eugenie took to Instagram sharing a photo of her mother and sister writing: “My mum and sister inspire me every day.

“To celebrate International Women’s Day next week, I’d love to share some stories of the women who inspire you.

“So please send me your stories and pictures (as a direct message on here) and on Monday I’ll share a collection and we can celebrate the incredible roles women have played all over the world.”
