PRINCE WILLIAM delighted royal fans as he shared a glimpse inside the Queen’s Sandringham House after visiting from his home for meetings.

The Queen, who is spending the lockdown at Windsor Castle, is said to have allowed the Cambridges to use her Norfolk home to make video calls to the public. Due to the country being in the grips of its third national lockdown, the couple have been forced to adapt to new ways of carrying out official duties. They have been travelling three miles from the home they have spent lockdown in, Anmer Hall, to carry out their duties virtually.

Kensington Palace shared a picture of the Duke holding calls with frontline workers who are helping vaccinate people in the UK to give his thanks for their hard work.

The snap showed William sat at a grand wooden table in one of the rooms at Sandringham, with a glass of water and a mug next to him, as well as a a fireplace and cabinet behind him.

The walls were painted a light green colour and there was a thick gold picture frame in the background and a matching gold light switch.

Kensington Royal wrote on Twitter: “Yesterday The Duke of Cambridge held calls with frontline workers from vaccination sites across the UK to thank them for their tremendous efforts and dedication to delivering the Covid-19 vaccine.

“The Covid-19 vaccination programme is the biggest vaccination programme in NHS history — so far 4.6 million of the most vulnerable and those who care for them have already received their first dose.

“Last week, the NHS in England vaccinated 140 people every minute.

“An effective vaccine is the best way to protect people from coronavirus and will save thousands of lives.

“To all those involved in the vaccination programme, a huge thank you for all that you’re doing.”

Fans were quick to heap praise on William for making an effort to show his appreciation despite not being able to do so in person.

One fan wrote: “Thank you to the Duke of Cambridge, you are going to make an amazing King.”

Another added: “A true leader in every way.

“He’s ensuring that everyone knows how thankful we are for their hard work and dedication.”

Another person noticed William’s jumper was colour-coordinated with the cup and even the wall behind him.

They said: “All in matching NHS blue! Even the mug!”

A third person simply said: “I love this picture.”

Earlier this week, Kate also spoke to medical workers from Sandringham, which is close to where her three children are being home schooled by their parents.

She chatted to a group of nurses with a variety of different roles, from University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW), to learn about their experiences.

Kate said: “You hear time and time again about the amazing things nurses up and down the country are doing – going that extra mile.

“It’s the things that, you know, it’s not part of the training and the things that you’re taught, but the things that come from your heart.

“I think that’s what matters so much now, these acts of kindness to the patients you’re looking after, that are in your care, that family members aren’t able to be there, but you are going that extra mile and being there.”
