PRINCESS DIANA’S legacy is living on through her eldest son Prince William’s parenting style, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke of Cambridge was just 15 years old when his mother died tragically in a car crash in 1997. William now has three children that he shares with wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. And it seems he is still influenced by his own upbringing when it comes to looking after his children.
Journalist Angela Mollard, speaking to New Idea, said: “From William, I think we get the Princess Diana influence.
“Princess Diana was the first real royal mum to submerge her children in ordinary life.
“They went to theme parks, they went to McDonalds, they went and visited the homeless, they went and visited AIDS patients.
“She made them aware of their privilege in a way that previous generations hadn’t.”

Ms Mollard added: “The Queen was educated by governesses, brought up in palaces largely by nannies.
“They were really inoculated from the world, now they’re very much immersed in the world.
“Obviously the Cambridge kids are the most famous royal children in the world: George, Charlotte and Louis.
“I think their parents are doing a tremendous job of giving them the most normal childhood that they possible can.”

There was also praise for mother Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Ms Mollard explained: “She’s done a lot of early childhood work, she’s talked a lot about nature.
“In fact, all her passions: photography, nature, gardening, early childhood education.
“They all suggest very much that she wants her children to have this beautiful quiet upbringing.

“The kids were apparently lambing last week during their half-term with William. I think there’s a real drive to give them some normalcy.
“But also been a lot of discussion around nature being wonderful for mental health.”
Last Friday, Kate was spotted heading out of a Waterstones with a large bag.
A source told Mail Online, Kate had asked staff for history and military themed books for children.

George began in 2017, with Charlotte currently in her first year.
Diana herself had experience in looking after young children.
After leaving school, she found employment initially as a pre-school assistant and then as nursery teacher’s assistant at the Young England School in Pimlico.
She left her job prior to her marriage to Charles, Prince of Wales.

This news comes as William’s brother Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex was due to visit the London Marathon next month.
The Marathon has been postponed until October.
The race will now take place on October 4.
Hugh Brasher, Event Director, said: “The world is in an unprecedented situation grappling with a global pandemic of COVID-19 and public health is everyone’s priority.”
