THE ROYAL FAMILY attended Trooping the Colour on Saturday to honour the Queen’s 93rd birthday, but did you catch the adorable tribute to Prince Harry Prince Louis made with his outfit?
Trooping the Colour: Prince Louis waves from the balcony
Almost all senior royals were in attendance on Saturday for the Trooping the Colour to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. After a procession of troops, horses and musicians, the Royal Family gathered on a balcony at Buckingham Palace to witness the Red Arrows flypast. It was the first Trooping the Colour for the youngest Cambridge, Prince Louis, who turned one in May.
Prince Louis stole the show on the balcony, waving, laughing and in awe of the planes which flew overhead.
This was the first royal engagement for the young prince, who seemed to have picked up his older sister Charlotte’s love of waving to crowds.
On closer inspection, Prince Louis’ outfit choice at the event may have seen familiar to some.
Prince Louis wore a white and blue patterned shirt with blue shorts as he waved from his parents’ arms on Saturday.

This was the same outfit his uncle, Prince Harry, wore at the Trooping the Colour event in 1986.
Pictures from the event in 1986 show two-year-old Prince Harry being held by Princess Anne, dressed in the same blue shorts and white shirt.
This nod to Prince Harry comes four years after Prince George wore the same blue outfit his father Prince William had worn at Trooping the Colour in 1984.
Kate held an excited Louis and wore a pastel yellow dress by one of her favourite designers, Alexander McQueen, and her matching hat was designed by Philip Treacy.

Before the Royal Family headed onto the balcony to watch the Red Arrows, Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, 13 months, were spotted looking from a Buckingham Palace window.
The three Cambridge children peered at the ceremony from the window, giving a wave to the crowds below.
Trooping the Colour was not only the first engagement for Prince Louis but also the first for Meghan Markle since having her son Archie Harrison just over a month ago.
The Duchess of Sussex was all smiles as she sat beside her husband Prince Harry on the carriage ride to the Palace, sitting opposite Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Meghan wore a navy blue dress by Clare Waight Keller and matching hat by Noel Stewart.
The Duchess is still on maternity leave, as son Archie is less than two-months-old.
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on May 6, 2019, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first child.
Archie was not at celebrations for Trooping the Colour, as he is too young to attend.
