Prince Harry’s secret Facebook account has been discovered with pictures of his ex girlfriend Chelsy Davy all over it.
Most of the senior Royals don’t have social media accounts that aren’t partly run by aids and officials.
However, there are reports that Prince Harry has had a secret Facebook account that even his closest staff never knew about.
Prince Harry, 35, who is now married to Meghan Markle, is said to have used the pseudonym Spike Wells for his hidden account.
The father-of-one had over 400 friends on the social media networking site, with many of his connections being the UK’s richest socialites.
Harry’s nickname from friends and family is said to be Spike – due to his spikey hairstyle.
The account, which was active for four years, featured a number of photos of him with his now ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy.
Spike’s interests were listed as “all sports”, and his profile said he was from Maun, Botswana – a town Prince Harry visited with Chelsy in 2007.
Maun is also the destination where Harry and Meghan went on their first romantic break together.
The Botswana location means so much to Harry and Meghan that she is said to have set up tents in the gardens of Frogmore Cottage to recreate their trip.
“Last year, for Harry’s birthday, Meghan recreated their Botswana camping adventures in their backyard,” a source told People magazine.
Harry, who reportedly feels “rudderless” after moving to Los Angeles, had whisked the former Suits actress away for the intimate trip after they’d shared just two dates together and it’s thought to be the location where the pair first fell in love.
The insider added: “It’s a place that means so much to them – and to Harry in particular – so Meghan wanted to bring that happy place to him on his day so she set up a tent, got sleeping bags, cooked dinner and recreated Botswana where they fell in love.”
Spike’s account, which was deleted in 2012, regularly had different profile pictures changed his profile picture, including one snap which showed three young men in matching Panama hats – one of whom bore an uncanny resemblance to Harry.
Previous profile photos included images of a hedgehog, a lemur from the cartoon film series Madagascar, and a red-headed child clutching his head with the comment: “Oh my God, I’m ginger”.
