PRINCE HARRY has left fans gushing over a tender moment caught on camera with baby Archie in ITV’s royal documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey.

Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan Markle, 38, featured in a new documentary that captured the hearts of viewers on ITV on Sunday evening. The documentary by ITV News’ Tom Bradby followed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their tour of South Africa during a royal engagement. Although all eyes were on Harry and Meghan in the in-depth review of their private lives while in Africa, there were a few moments that really stole the show for viewers that centred around rare sightings of baby Archie.

During a meeting with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe at a tea party in September, baby Archie seemed in awe as a huge smile beamed across his little face – and rather a lot of dribble.

But not to worry, the Prince was on hand to save the day as he tenderly wiped away Archie’s saliva with his finger.

The previously-unseen moment was part of a rare glimpse that the Sussex’s allowed of their adorable baby boy.

Thandeka could be heard laughing and cooing over Archie as he grinned while his dad tried to wipe away the dribble.

“I think he knows exactly what’s going on,” Harry laughed, who revealed his son has developed an adorable personality.

After the meeting that was described as “symbolic”, Meghan told Tom how important the moment of meeting the Archbishop was to them.

“It’s not lost on us what a huge and significant moment this is,” she said.

“I think Archie will look back on that in so many years and realise at the beginning of his life he was fortunate enough to have that moment with one of the most inspirational leaders of our time.”

As the Duchess was speaking to the news anchor, fans noticed another warm-hearted moment between the Prince and five-month-old Archie.

In the background of the shot Harry can be seen cradling and cuddling his son before bringing him round to see his mum.

Strategically caught on camera or not, the love that Harry and Meghan have for their child is undeniable.

Once she finished the interview, Meghan greeted Harry and a sleepy Archie by lovingly kissing him on the head in a touchingly candid moment captured by the cameras.

Fans flocked to social media to have their say after watching the special moments air.

“Meghan is saying something important but I can’t keep my eyes off the duo in the left side corner. Harry and Archie,” one user gushed.

Another quipped: “Meghan giving this interview with Harry (and Archie) being supportive and watching her in the wings is so beautiful.”

A third commented: “This documentary is giving me all the feels. Harry’s amazing and Meghan’s just so lovely, warm and kind. And Archie is so cute and smiley! What a beautiful family.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex bought their bundle of joy into the spotlight for the second time, thrilling viewers who hadn’t seen footage of the tot since he was two days old.

It would be an understatement to say fans were overwhelmed with joy to see them as a family.

Prince Harry said the tot was “bouncing up and down” during the 10-day tour of South Africa as he spoke candidly about life as a father in a behind-the-scenes ITV documentary.

The youngest member of the royal family warmed hearts with his cheeky grin, playful spirit and striking resemblance to his father.
