PRINCE HARRY’s decision making this year has led to his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II taking control of some aspects of the Duke of Sussex’s life.
The Queen may make sure some aspects of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s life are controlled, after the Duke and Duchesses’ private flight fury earlier this year. The couple faced criticism earlier this year after it was claimed they flew privately four times in 11 days in August.
The Sussexes came under fire after taking a private flight to the home of singer Sir Elton John, in Nice, as they have both spoken out about climate change issues.
Sir Elton defended the royal couple, saying he provided them with his private plane to “maintain a high level of much-needed protection”.
He also said he paid to carbon offset their trip to his French home.
But Harry’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth II has now decided to take matters into her own hands to ensure travel is “efficient” and “cost effective”.

She is looking for a new director of travel, a role currently advertised.
The role includes organising “appropriate travel services for the official duties of Members of the Royal Family and their Households”.
The Director of Royal Travel vacancy comes with an £85,000-a-year salary.
The person hired will organise “air travel” as well as managing and scheduling the “Royal Train trips” which have previously cost the taxpayer tens of thousands of pounds.
However, the essential part of the role is to “researching and negotiating value for money contracts and options for travel.”

A source told Mail Online it will be a crucial part of the role after recent royal accounts revealed the family spent £4.6millon last year on travel alone.
The royal source told the publication: “This is a very senior position, looking after a very important part of household operations.
“It’s an essential part of the role that candidates are able to plan the right travel options and negotiate value for money contracts.”
In September’s edition of Vogue – edited by Meghan – Harry spoke about environmental issues and his love for nature, saying: “We are the one species on this planet that seems to think that this place belongs to us, and only us.”
However, he was criticised over the summer for his use of private jets.
The Duke of Sussex has previously defended his decision.
Speaking at the launch of an eco-tourism project called Travalyst in Amsterdam, he said he occasionally needs to ensure his family is safe.
Prince Harry added he balances out the impact this has on the environment.

The 35-year-old Prince said: ”I came here by commercial.
“I spend 99 percent of my life travelling the world by commercial.
“Occasionally there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure that my family are safe – it’s generally as simple as that.”
Meghan and Harry have been asked about their use of private jets and their impact following their support of environmental causes.
Prince Harry has previously spoken about the importance of tackling climate change.
He went on to say that he has always offset his carbon emissions and will continue to do so.
He added: ”In my mind it’s the right thing to do and we need to make it cool.
“We have to connect people to where that little bit of extra money is actually going.”
