PRINCE HARRY and Meghan Markle have hit the headlines over the past summer on more than one occasion – and now one royal expert claims the royal has been “cursing the people” over the criticism.

Following comments he made in an interview for Vogue, which was guest-edited by the Duchess of Sussex herself, Prince Harry came under fire for his use of private jets. In an ill-judged comment at a later press conference, Harry went on to say he uses private jets to protect his family and keep them safe. The media frenzy over Harry and Meghan’s environmental impact is just one of many storms the royal couple have had to weather this summer.

And now one royal commentator has revealed the Duke of Sussex’s anger over the way they have been held to account.

Ingrid Seward, Editor in chief of Majesty Magazine, wrote in a comment piece for the Sun: “Looking at the endless criticism, he probably cursed the people he now sees as his enemy – the British media.”

Other criticisms levelled at the royal couple have included their £2.4million renovation of their home, Frogmore Cottage – the majority of which was funded using tax-payers money.

Critics have also pointed out the lack of pictures released to the public of the Duke and Duchess’ son, baby Archie Harrison, since his birth in May this year.

An insider told The Sun Meghan Markle had also been receiving advice from a Hollywood PR company, allegedly telling them she wanted to “break the internet” with her edited issue of British Vogue.

Ms Seward added everything Prince Harry does “seems engineered to push us away”.

She wrote: “After restricting pictures of Archie since his birth in May, it is now rumoured that the royal couple will not even allow photos of him arriving in South Africa later this month.

“All this comes on top of a fallout with William and Kate, excessive spending of public money on their Frogmore House and the hypocrisy of zooming around the world in private jets, pausing only to deliver a barefoot lecture at Google’s eco camp in Sicily, where Harry piously moralised about climate-harming behaviour.”

Ms Seward added: “Looking at the endless criticism, he probably cursed the people he now sees as his enemy – the British media.”

“But Harry should follow his mother Diana’s mantra and keep your enemies close.”

Royal insider Lady Colin Campbell told Page Six last week it has been a “summer of hell” for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Lady Campbell said: “The couple’s recent behaviour is a public relations disaster for Buckingham Palace, who are having a hard time reining them in.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will travel to Africa later this month for a ten-day royal tour.

Setting off on September 23, the trip will be baby Archie’s first-ever royal tour.
