Prince Harry given ‘ALL-CLEAR’ to marry Meghan Markle in ‘Operation Princess’
The royals are drafting a plan to bring Meghan Markle into the family after accepting she will be Prince Harry’s wife.
The Prince and his girlfriend are thought to be on the verge of taking the plunge and getting engaged in the next few months.
And it could happen as early as this month, with the pair set to make their first public appearance together at Harry’s Invictus Games.
After reading Meghan’s interview with Vanity Fair, the royals are now drawing up a plan to bring the Suits actress into the family.
It is believed that Harry was asked to hold off on the proposal due to the anniversary of Diana’s death, but he has now been given the “all-clear”
A palace insider told The Mail: “Both Charles and Camilla are understood to have held back from expressing views, keen that Harry should have his own space to make his own decisions.
“Harry was nervous of introducing Meghan to them because he did not want people to jump to conclusions about someone he deeply cared for.
“He wanted to consider in his own time whether or not she might have a permanent place in his life.”
But as a Catholic divorcee, Meghan will not be able to marry Harry in Westminster Abbey unless special permission is granted.
Possible venues for the big day could be St George’s Chapel in the precincts of Windsor Castle, Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh or Crathie Kirk near Balmoral.
Upon joining the royals, Meghan could take the title “Princess Rachel of Wales”, after her real name.
