PRINCE HARRY is the younger brother of the future king, Prince William and as the royal siblings grew up, some members of the Royal Family made sure the Duke of Sussex knew he was “number two”, it has been claimed.
Prince Harry, 34, is the youngest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana and brother of Prince William, 37. Being born three years apart and to a family who does things different to most, the two are said to have been very close growing up. However, with Harry being the youngest son of Charles, who is first in line to the throne, an expert has now claimed members of the family made very clear he knew he was “number two” to William.
In a Channel 4 documentary, titled Meghan and Harry: The Baby Years, Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty magazine spoke of Harry’s childhood.
She recalled how the Queen Mother, William and Harry’s great-grandmother, would make the Duke of Sussex feel left out.
Ms Seward said: “The Queen Mother used to say, ‘Come on William come and sit next to me’, and little Harry would be completely left out.”
And apparently Queen Elizabeth II’s mother wasn’t the only royal who favoured William.

She added: “Other members of the Royal Family were very conscious he was number two.”
The treatment of Prince Harry reportedly left Princess Diana “very anxious”.
The Princess of Wales, who died in 1997, didn’t want her son to feel second best.
As William was firstborn it was clear from the start he will be the one to takeover the British throne.

Prince William is today second in line to the throne, while Prince Harry is sixth.
William and wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are all ahead of the 34-year-old prince.
And as the royal brothers have gotten older, even the Queen has started to prioritise the third in line to the throne.
At the age of 93 the Queen has started giving way for her son Prince Charles as well as William.

The monarch has recently been sharing some of her royal duties and has caused the Duke of Cambridge to split from the common path he had set out with his brother Prince Harry.
Royal author Juliet Rieden told Nine News Australia: “The two brothers have very different roles.
“Prince William is going to be king one day. The Queen is 93 and she’s offloading a lot of her work both to her son and to her grandson.
“William has really had to up the ante and take on a lot of this heavy lifting.”
