Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘to meet his ex-girlfriends’ at Eugenie’s wedding
PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle are not the only ones having a royal wedding this year, as it emerged Princes Eugenie and long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank will tie the knot at St George’s Chapel in Windsor this Autumn, and the guest list could prove awkward.
And although Meghan is likely to be looking forward to the big event, there may be a few guests that could make for an awkward encounter.
Prince Harry and Meghan will also get married at St George’s Chapel with their wedding taking place in May.
Eugenie’s wedding will be one of the first society events Prince Harry and his wife attend after their own nuptials.
The Suits actress is likely to run into a number of Harry’s exes at the wedding as many of them remained good friends with Princess Eugenie after splitting up with the prince.
She may be his ex, but Cressida Bonas is still very much part of the royal social circle and remains close pals with Prince Harry’s cousin Eugenie.
In fact, their friendship pre-dated her relationship with Harry, as it was Eugenie, and older sister Beatrice, who set Harry up with the stunning blonde.
And it has even been speculated that she could be one of Eugenie’s bridesmaids for the big day.
Eugenie and Cressida were both last seen at Vogue’s December Issue party in London on November 21, 2017.
The RADA trained dancer and actress even enjoyed a skiing holiday with the York sisters and Prince Andrew and Fergie.
Cressida and Harry met in May 2012, and eventually split in April 2014 amid speculation she was uncomfortable with all the media attention that came with dating a royal.
Another one of Harry’s rumoured exes Meghan may bump into is pop-star Ellie Goulding, who is firm friends with Eugenie.
The pop star and Ellie Goulding were most recently spotted at a basketball game in New York’s Madison Square Gardens in October.
The glamorous pals also stepped out together in floor-sweeping gowns at the Animal Ball charity dinner in November 2016.
Ellie also famously performed at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding reception, so could be on hand to serenade the newlyweds at Eugenie’s nuptials.
Harry was linked to the British singer in the summer of 2016, with the pair spotted together at the Audi Polo.
The pair were seen spending time together with onlookers claiming they were “all over each other”.
One even alleged that they shared a kiss under a blanket.
An unnamed insider revealed: “Harry was really going for it after the polo – he was drinking and dancing.
“They were part of a wider group including Tom Hardy but Harry and Ellie only had eyes for each other all night – they spent a lot of time sitting together under blankets.”
Another one of Harry’s ex who still runs in royal circles, and likely to get an invite to Eugenie’s wedding, is TV presenter Natalie Pinkham.
Rumours of Natalie and Harry’s liaison started to whirl in 2006 after pictures surfaced of the pair and a source reported at the time that Harry was “absolutely infatuated” with Natalie.
She and Eugenie are often pictured at high-society events in London, so she is very likely to be invited to the nuptials.
Harry’s long time love Chelsy Davy is also also said to be in the running to be a bridesmaid for the Princess.
Although Chelsy and Harry ended their on-off romance in 2010, the pair remained close and she stayed friends with Harry’s royal relatives, even being invited to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding in 2011.
Chelsy and Eugenie have been spotted at a number of society events together in recent years, showing there’s no hard feelings after the split with her cousin.
Princess Eugenie’s engagement has been greeted with joy by her parents the Duke and Duchess of York. Andrew and Sarah, who have remained close despite divorcing, both spoke of the happiness they feel following the announcement, which was marked by the release of a series of engagement photographs.
Eugenie proudly shows off her padparadscha sapphire and diamond engagement ring in the pictures taken in Buckingham Palace’s picture gallery.
The Duke said: “I’m just completely overjoyed for them and wish them every happiness,” while Sarah issued a series of tweets and in one echoed Andrew’s words, writing “total joy”.
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh also expressed their delight at the news, wishing their granddaughter and her fiance “all the best”.
Although Eugenie’s wedding will be held in the same venue as Prince Harry, the even will be much more low-key and unlikely to be televised.
The taxpayer will foot the bill for police presence at Eugenie’s wedding, just like Harry’s.
