PRINCE George is popular with his peers at school and has been given an adorable nickname by his friends according to reports.

Prince George arrives for first day at school with William

The future King is attending the £17,600 a year St Thomas’s school in London. Parents had previously reported seeing the young Royal being dropped off by his parents. Prince George began attending the prestigious school in September 2017.

Speaking to Vanity Fair one parent claimed he has been given the nickname ‘PG’, an abbreviation of Prince George.

It had previously been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were calling their eldest son ‘TIPS’, an apparent reference to the PG Tips tea brand.

Prince George seems to have made a lot of friends amongst his classmates.

Speaking to Vanity Fair a parent commented: “He’s very popular and has lots of friends, and there’s very little fuss about who he is.

“Either William or Kate do drop off, and they are always very friendly.

“William particularly loves to have a chat with some of the parents and works out with some of the mums at the Harbour Club after drop off.

“He’s very chatty and amiable.”

Prince George first attended St Thomas’s on September 7 2017, when he was dropped off by his father.

The Good Schools Guide referred to the school as “A big, busy, slightly chaotic school for cosmopolitan parents who want their children to have the best English education money can buy”.

It had previously been reported that the Duke and Duchess were having their privacy respected by other parents.

Speaking to the Daily Mail a parent said: “No one really gives Kate a second glance when she does the school drop-off.

“We have a Victoria’s Secret model doing the school run, too, and the dads are far more interested in her!”
