PRINCE GEORGE is a skilled tennis player and has been taught his best shots by Roger Federer, the‘greatest of all time’, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, has revealed.
Kate has confessed her eldest son is a huge admirer of Federer, the only player in history who has triumphed at Wimbledon eight times, according to British Fed Cup captain Anne Keothavong. And, Kate reportedly added, little Prince George has even enjoyed a tennis crash course given by Federer himself at the Cambridges’ court at their home in Norfolk. Kate revealed her five-year-old’s passion for tennis during her surprise visit to the All England Club two days ago.
Watching the match of Britain’s rising star Harriet Dart, ranked the world number 182, on the second day of the games alongside with Mrs Keothavong and tennis player Katie Boulter, Kate charmed everyone opening up about her family.
Mrs Keothavong who was what sitting next to the royal on Monday, said: “What a special day — and Kate is such a good ambassador for tennis.
“She comes to Wimbledon every year, she really likes tennis, she was talking about George, apparently.

“George’s favourite tennis player is Roger Federer, and he’s actually got to play with him.
“The whole family loves tennis, and George is apparently quite a good player.”
During this year’s visit at the All Club Tennis, Kate stunned in a midi length tea dress by Suzannah, teamed with a mini raffia bag and leather belt, both by one of the Duchess’ favourite designer, Alexander McQueen.
Federer is a long-time friend of both the Cambridges and the Middletons and is believed to have been invited as guest at Prince William and Kate’s Norfolk estate.

The tennis champion became a good friend of the Duchess’ sister, Pippa Middleton, when she interviewed him for Vanity Fair magazine in 2013.
Five years later, in May 2017, Federer attended her wedding to James Matthews.
Kate, who heads to SW19 every July, famously offered Federer three kisses on the cheeks, the typical greeting in Switzerland, after he won in 2017 his eighth Wimbledon gentlemen’s singles title.
This is not the first time Kate has opened up about Prince George’s passion for tennis.

In 2017, the Duchess revealed George picked up a racket during an engagement and even asked Lawn Tennis Association coach Sam Richardson for some expert tips.
Kate is not the only member of the Royal Family who headed to SW19 this week.
On the fourth day of the games, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, paid a surprise visit to Wimbledon.
The Duchess was spotted wearing a cute tribute to her two-month-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor – a golden necklace with a pendant of the letter A.
