A TEAM of royal aides are to search Prince Charles’s home and remove anything that could cause offence to visiting Donald Trump, including pictures of the Prince with Barack Obama.

The US President, who once crudely boasted he could have bedded Princess Diana, will visit Charles’s London residence next week as part of his three-day state visit to Britain. The Prince’s team has been ordered to remove anything from Clarence House that might upset the notoriously thin-skinned Trump before he arrives on June 3. And the prime target will be a silver-framed photograph on a table in Charles’s drawing room of the Prince with former president Obama. Taken in the White House Oval Office during Charles’s visit to Washington in 2011, it sits on a table in the Lancaster Room next to a picture of the Queen and another of the Queen and Prince Philip with all their children.
One aide explained: “The fact that it is in such a prominent position surrounded by treasured family photographs shows just how much the Prince values it.”
The existence of the picture – and its prime position – was inadvertently revealed when Google’s arts and culture division was invited to film inside the royal residence last year.
As the camera scans the Lancaster Room, it shows the Obama snap, above right, flanked by intimate family photos.
A Palace expert revealed: “It shows just how close the relationship is between the Prince and the president.
“But this would be a red rag to a bull for President Trump. It’s like seeing your new boyfriend still has his ex’s photo in his wallet.

“The President already suspects the Prince does not like him, to see how much he thinks of Obama would only confirm it.
“This meeting is a very important test for the Prince and he wants to show he can bury his personal views when it comes to the interests of the nation.
“It would be a disaster for the Prince if something went wrong. This is a real test of the Prince as a statesman.”
It has emerged that Trump intends to bring not only First Lady Melania on the trip but also all four of his grown-up children, Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric and Donald Trump Jnr.
But the Trump clan can expect a frosty reception from Prince William and Prince Harry after shockingly lewd comments made by Trump about their mother Princess Diana.

Harry is due to meet the President at a private lunch on the first day of the visit and William and Kate are expected to be guests at a Buckingham Palace state banquet a few hours later.
One friend of the princes explained: “Their mother is completely off limits to outsiders, no matter who they are.
“They are not the forgive and forget type and if Trump thinks this is in the past he is seriously deluded. Nobody can speak of their mother this way.”
Trump was being interviewed by shock jock Howard Stern shortly after the princess died in a Paris car crash in 1997.
Astonishingly, Trump said Diana had been attracted to him and that he could have “nailed” her – despite friends of the Princess revealing she had felt like the tycoon was “stalking her”.

Stern asked Trump, then not involved in politics: “Why do people think it’s egotistical of you to say you could’ve gotten Lady Di?
“You could’ve gotten her, right? You could’ve nailed her.”
Trump replied: “I think I could have.” He went on: “She was actually really beautiful. I thought she was supermodel beautiful. She had times when she didn’t look great and she had times when she looked better than anyone in the world.
“But she had the height, she had magnificent skin, she was a great beauty.”
Bizarrely, Trump also claimed that Diana would still be alive if she had been dating him instead of Dodi Fayed because he was aware of the speed limit in the Paris tunnel where she died.

He said: “I know that tunnel in Paris. It’s got, like, a 30-mile limit. If you look at this tunnel – and I really know that tunnel well, I’ve been through that tunnel many times – you can’t go more than like 30, 40 miles.”
Trump then revealed that Diana had once encouraged his attentions with a “most beautiful, warm letter” after he sent her some flowers.
But broadcaster Selina Scott, a friend of the royals, later claimed Diana had been given “the creeps” by Trump.
She said: “He bombarded Diana with massive bouquets of flowers. She became increasingly concerned. It had begun to feel as if Trump was stalking her.”
