People Are Worried Camilla Will Become Queen Due To This Change On Prince Charles’ Website
Out of respect to the late Princess Diana, Prince Charles announced that his other-woman-turned-new-wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, would never become Queen if/when he ascended to the throne.
But it looks like the future King of England may go back on his word, after his official website removed a statement about his wife’s future title.
The Frequently Asked Questions page used to include a section on Camilla’s title, highlighting the fact that if Prince Charles were to become King, her title would change to Her Royal Highness The Princess Consort instead of Queen.
But that section vanished overnight.
A Clarence House spokesperson has explained their reasoning to The Telegraph, saying, “Our Frequently Asked Questions are updated regularly. This is one question that Clarence House has not been asked by the public for some time, which is why it no longer features.”
Not so fast: according to marie clarie’s research, two-thirds of the British population believe Camilla shouldn’t become queen, indicating that the subject is still very much in the public consciousness.
