Meghan Markle’s son Archie ‘not been in public since family arrived’ amid LA paparazzi war

MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry’s attorney Michael Kump has claimed that one-year-old Archie has not been in public since the family arrived’ in LA during a lawsuit between the royal couple and an American paparazzi.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are ordering an American paparazzi to court after claiming they took illegal drone pictures of their son Archie. The couple has sent their lawyer to court in California in an attempt to try and ban the publication of photos of their 14-month-old son. They claim the photos were taken by a drone flying above their home near Los Angeles.

Further to those claims, the pair have also accused photographers of adding misleading captions on pictures of Archie in their back garden.

Meghan and Harry have seen this as an attempt to suggest they were taken in a public place.

Their attorney said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are filing this lawsuit to protect their young son’s right to privacy in their home without intrusion by photographers, and to uncover and stop those who seek to profit from these illegal actions.”

Michael Kump, who is the royal couple’s attorney, wrote to LA Superior Court Judge Craig Karlan saying: “This is a race against the clock because there is a significant risk these illegally-taken photos could be published in the United States or the United Kingdom any day.”

The hearing itself is in Santa Monica.

Judge Karlan granted Kump’s application for an order to serve subpoenas on three LA photo agencies that could be handling the pictures.

These are the images that were allegedly taken by a drone flying above Hollywood producer Tyler Perry’s $18 million Beverly Hills mansion.

Since moving to the US and stepping down from royal duties, Harry and Meghan have been living at their friend, Tyler Perry’s mansion since March.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, in their privacy lawsuit, are trying to unveil the photographer or photographers who took the pictures.

They are also trying to find out who supplied the misleading information and caption that claims the photos were taken during a public outing.

Michael Kump says: “In fact, Archie has not been in public since the family arrived here.”

He added: “This is not an innocent mistake, but an intentional attempt to evade liability (under a local statute that restricts taking photos on private property).”

The Royal duo has already accused photographers of “intimidation, harassment and the addition of a very real security threat on top of what already exists”.

The Duke and Duchess have said they are trying to protect their one-year-old son from a paparazzi “feeding frenzy”.

According to Meghan and Harry, some of the snappers have “crossed a red line”.

They said they have taken drastic measures to ensure their privacy.

This includes installing a large mesh fence around Tyler Perry’s luxurious mansion, in order to try and prevent pictures being taken.

But they haven not been able to protect themselves against drones which they claim have been flown “a mere 20 feet above the house as often as three times a day”.

A complaint was also made in court by the royal pair that photographers have been hiring helicopters to fly over and take snaps as well as some paparazzi cutting holes in the property’s fence.

It’s believed that “flyovers” have taken place as early as 5.30 am, this is according to court documents.

Despite the claims, the couple has not been able to identify the one or more photographers responsible for the Archie photos.
