Meghan Markle is to visit Princess Diana’s grave for the first time with husband Prince Harry and their baby Archie, according to reports.
The Duchess of Sussex will make the “pilgrimage” to Althorp Estate, where the princess’ grave is situated in the middle of a lake, around the anniversary of her death on August 31.
Harry has also spoken candidly of how he believes his mum would have loved Meghan.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Harry wants Meghan to see his mother’s resting place.”
Diana was laid to rest at the estate following her death on September 6, 1997.
William and Harry used to visit the estate twice a year, on Diana’s birthday and the the anniversary of her death.
However, they reportedly have not visited since what would have been her 56th birthday in 2017.
That was during a private ceremony led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
Commenting on Diana’s influence, Meghan previously said Diana is “with us on this crazy journey together”.
She added: “Everything about Harry’s thoughtfulness and the inclusion of Princess Diana’s stones and obviously not being able to meet his mum.
“It’s so important to me to know that she’s a part of this with us.”
