MEGHAN MARKLE made a loaded comment when she chatted to singer Pharrell Williams at the UK premiere of The Lion King this week.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, attended the premiere of Disney’s The Lion King on Sunday night. They chatted to American pop culture royalty, including Beyonce and Jay Z. But it was a conversation overheard with singer Pharrell Williams that has raised eyebrows.
Mr Williams said to her: “I’m so happy for your union.
“Love is amazing. Love is beautiful. Don’t ever take that for granted.
“But what it means in today’s climate, I just wanted to tell you it’s so significant for many of us … we cheer you guys on.”
Meghan responded: “Oh, thank you. They don’t make it easy.”

After that, Harry leant in a whispered something to Pharrell and they all laughed.
It’s not clear exactly what Meghan was referring to, but it could be the ongoing criticism she faces from the public.
The Sussexs have faced mounting criticism in recent months for choosing to keep their son Archie Harrison’s life as private as possible.
Meghan may also have been referring to the fact that she and Harry are the Royal Family’s first mixed-race couple.

While it’s not clear whether Meghan’s comment was directed at the public, the royals, or society as a whole, it’s clear she’s felt the pressure.
However on Sunday, Meghan seemed relaxed and happy.
She told one well-wisher that she was on a “date night” with Harry.
And a much-awaited public meeting took place between Meghan and Beyonce.

It has been revealed that Beyonce sweetly called Meghan “My Princess”.
Eagle-eyed royal watchers also think they spotted Beyonce telling Meghan her baby is “so beautiful”.
Harry was also spotted telling the couple that Archie was already holding his head up.
According to royal reporter Rebecca English, Jay-Z also gave some advice, telling Meghan and Harry: “The best advice I can give you: Always find time for yourself.”
