She previously wrote about what birthday presents she would like to receive in an article for Elle UK. It was published in 2014 to mark Meghan’s 33rd birthday. The future Duchess shot to fame on US legal drama Suits, before marrying into the British Royal Family.

Writing in Elle UK Meghan commented: “I am 33 years old today and I am happy.

“I say that so plainly because, well, it takes time to be happy.

“To figure out how to be kind to yourself. To not just choose that happiness, but to feel it.

“For my birthday, here’s what I would like as a gift: I want you to be kind to yourself.”
