MEGHAN MARKLE has released a behind the scenes video of her time with Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful when the Duchess of Sussex guest edited their September issue.
Meghan Markle, 38, guest-edited the September 2019 issue of Vogue magazine titled ‘Forces For Change’. The Duchess of Sussex’s image for the magazine meant it sold out in 10 days and became the biggest-selling issue of the past decade. She has since shared a video of her time with Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful on her Instagram, SussexRoyal.
The post said: “Earlier today @edward_enninful, the Editor in Chief of @britishvogue shared: “#ForcesForChange, guest edited by The Duchess of Sussex @SussexRoyal, was our fastest-selling issue in the history of #BritishVogue ( sold out in 10 days) and the biggest-selling issue of the past decade. I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store…”
“To celebrate, we wanted to share this never before seen video behind the scenes with Edward and The Duchess of Sussex on the creation of this special issue. Please note, this was filmed last August in London.
“Congratulations to all of those who took part in the 2019 September issue, and huge thanks to those who supported and helped make this a success!”
In the two-minute video, Meghan discusses how she guest-edited the magazine that month before donning hats to celebrate the issue and called the cover models.

Mr Enninful said: “I remember walking into Kensington Palace and I was so excited.
“And I said, ‘Lovely to meet you, Duchess’ and you were like, ‘Call me Meghan!’.”
Meghan added: “From January to now, how much we’ve been working on this and for me to just say, yes, you would help me on Smart Works – amazing.
“And maybe I could push it just a little bit more and see if you would be willing to let me guest edit.

“I didn’t know if anyone had ever done it before.”
Mr Enninful continued: “In the history of Vogue, you’re the first.
“You have an editor’s eye, I mean I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Meghan previously revealed how she put her name forward as the first guest-editor of a September issue of British Vogue.

She wrote in the magazine: “So I asked the question. Actually, I typed and deleted the question several times until I built up the courage to ask the question in question.
“‘Edward… instead of doing the cover, would you be open to me guest editing your September issue?’
“(Mind you, I know how important the September issue is for the fashion industry.
“I realise the reach, and I see the opportunity to be a part of fashion’s push for something greater, kinder, more impactful.
“But I am also a little nervous to be boldly asking the editor-in-chief, whom I’ve only just met, to take a chance on me).”
