The Duchess of Sussex is writing her first fictional children’s book which will not be about her life as a member of the royal family. She is currently looking at writing a book about her love of animals, especially dogs, reports The Sun. It is likely that any profits made from the book would be donated to charity.
She will follow in the footsteps of her father-in-law Prince Charles who released a children’s book in 1980 called The Old Man of Lochnagar.
Prince Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson has also wrote a series of children’s books called Budgie the Helicopter in the late nineties.
The sudden move into writing follows her recent Vogue magazine guest edit and the launch of a fashion line for charity with Marks & Spencer.
A royal insider said: “Meghan is going to become a published author and is very excited about it.

“The plans are in the very early stages and won’t be formally announced for some time.
“But she’s very excited about the possibility and is passionate about the idea of a work of fiction for children.
“She loves animals and her rescue dogs so it’s very likely they will be incorporated into the story.
“Any book will absolutely not be some sort of tell-all about her life in the royal family.”

The book is likely to be a major success with many major celebrities taking the route into writing.
Britain’s Got Talent Judge David Walliams has become a publishing giant in the UK with his books which include hit children’s book, Gangsta Granny.
In the US Madonna and former President Barack Obama have published books in the children’s market.
Meghan has faced some backlash this week after including left-wing political figures in her guest edit of the September issue of global fashion magazine Vogue.
