MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry have settled in North America following their bid for independence from the Royal Family, which may earn them a frosty reception on their return to the UK. When will Meghan and Harry return to the UK?
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left for North America last year following a protracted bid to prize themselves from the senior ranks of the Royal Family. The couple has since settled in California, where media companies have snapped them up for projects and television appearances. But their presence has caused a stir, and Prince Harry said he is expecting a frosty reception from Queen Elizabeth II on his return to the UK.
Will Meghan Markle return to the UK?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have become a package deal since relocating to the US, regularly appearing together on video.
Their future projects have also enlisted them as a pair, keeping them inseparable for the foreseeable future.
However, recent rumours suggest Prince Harry will return to the UK alone, amid suggestions he “stepped over the line” in the US.

A source told The Sun royal staff have started preparations for the Prince’s return.
They said: “Staff at Windsor have been told to prepare for the possibility Harry could come back.
“They are told that it could be within weeks but Meghan’s name was not mentioned.
“There are all sorts of issues to speak about — not only his political statements but also his visa situation in the US.”

“Even though he would have to isolate for two weeks, the estate is large enough for talks in a socially distanced way.”
What the “talks” would constitute remain unclear, but they may concern his recent political activity in the US.
He has appeared in videos alongside the Duchess encouraging Americans to vote and “reject hate” to widespread condemnation.
While the Duchess of Sussex can vote as a US citizen, Prince Harry cannot either there or in the UK, given Royal Family tradition of remaining politically neutral.

While neither royal mentioned favoured candidates, people have taken their appearances as a tacit endorsement of Democrat candidate Joe Biden.
Voices on both sides of the Atlantic have spoken out in outrage, including President Trump himself, who said he was “not a fan” of Meghan.
One US Congressman even went as far as to suggest the couple have “interfered” in the election.
Jason Smith, Republican Congressman for Missouri’s eighth district, penned a letter to the British Government asking ministers to strip them of their titles in punishment.
An extract from his letter, as revealed by the Daily Mail, read: “As you know, the British Royal Family has long observed a policy of strict neutrality in regard to political matters.
“I am therefore concerned by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent comments regarding the United States Presidential Election, especially given international conversations surrounding foreign interference in our elections and the Duke’s status as a guest of the United States.”
Mr Smith added: “I respectfully request the British Government ensure The Duke and Duchess of Sussex no longer attempt to interfere in our election or be stripped of all titles, styles, and privileges which they currently retain.
“I respectfully request you convey these concerns to both Her Majesty The Queen and to Her Majesty’s Government.”
