MEGHAN MARKLE dropped a major clue she was already engaged to Prince Harry months before before the royal couple officially announced their happy news.
The former American actress and Prince Harry made their first public debut at the Toronto Invictus Games in September 2017, where the pair looked loved up, smiling and holding hands. And perhaps the reason for the couple’s happy display was the fact they were already engaged, according to a bombshell royal book.
Meghan Marklealso hinted at the happy news by wearing an oversized, white shirt – often dubbed the ‘Husband Shirt’.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously told how Prince Harry proposed to the former American actress over a roast chicken dinner in November 2017.
But the couple’s unofficial autobiography, Finding Freedom, serialised in the Times and Sunday Times over the weekend, revealed how the pair actually got engaged two months earlier in August 2017.

So that means the couple would have already been preparing to tie the knot during their appearance in Toronto.
Prince Harry is said to have popped the question during a romantic trip to Botswana, according to the book.
This is where Prince Harry told how the couple had “camped out with each other under the stars”.

But during their engagement interview with the BBC, the Duke and Duchess recalled a very different proposal where Harry got down on one knee during a “cosy” night in.
Meghan told BBC presenter Mishal Husain it was “sweet, natural and very romantic” and just a “standard typical night in” for the pair.
She said: “Just a cosy night, it was – what we were doing just roasting chicken and having …”

Harry interrupted his wife to be and finished her sentence, saying: “Roasting a chicken, trying to roast a chicken.”
Meghan said: “Trying to roast a chicken and it just – just an amazing surprise, it was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee.”
Harry continued: “She didn’t even let me finish, she said can I say yes, can I say yes and then were was hugs and I had the ring in my finger and I was like can I – can I give you the ring? She goes – oh yes the ring.

“So no it was – it was a really nice moment, it was just the two of us and I think managed to catch – catch her by surprise as well.”
The couple, who are currently living in LA, have distanced themselves from the explosive book.
A spokesman for Harry and Meghan said the couple did not contribute to the book, but he did not deny the content of The Times’s extracts.
The spokesman added: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to Finding Freedom.
“This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting.”
