Florist Philiipa Craddock has revealed the newlyweds left the splendid floral archway from their wedding at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle for the congregation to enjoy in the services which followed. The chapel is a working church with services every day so the week following the royal wedding was a particular special time for the local congregation as they could have enjoyed the exceptional decorations.

Ms Craddock shared pictures on her social media account of the stunning floral archways her team created, which include roses, peonies and foxgloves.

“The archways were huge, we used scaffolding and designed a complex under structure to ensure they were absolutely secure, without causing any damage to the beautiful stonework underneath.

“It was important each stem had access to water, to last the duration (and without the use of floral foam).

“We left the archways in place the following day, for the congregations to enjoy during the services.”

Many people commented on the post to say how beautiful they remembered the flowers to be.
