PRINCE HARRY and Meghan Markle started the feud between the Sussexes and the Cambridges, according to royal sources.
The breakup happened just days after last May’s Royal Wedding after Harry criticised his brother and sister-in-law for not supporting his new bride, according to “trusted sources”. Despite being puzzled by the claims, the Cambridges did assure the new family they were happy to offer more support.
The Duchess of Cambridge brought Meghan a bunch of flowers a day later and offered to accompany her to Wimbledon.
But despite putting differences aside for the public eye, sources told the Mail on Sunday the families have been drifting apart with the two households divided.
The new couple announced they were leaving their Kensington Palace home just months after their wedding day to take up residence in the leafy surroundings of Windsor.
Harry and Meghan also split from the couple’s joint charity, The Royal Foundation, to pioneer their own causes.

At June’s Trooping the Colour event, Meghan and Kate were seen standing on opposite ends of the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Meghan and Harry’s SussexRoyal Instagram account also unfollowed William and Kate’s KensingtonRoyal account, instead deciding to select a changing list of charities to support.
Rumours of a royal feud were kicked into life after it was claimed Meghan had demanded Princess Charlotte wore a particular dress for her wedding.
The Duchess of Cambridge was reduced to tears, it was alleged, just months after giving birth to her third child, Prince Louis.

Since then, the two Duchesses have been seen together at a mass of social occasions as the royals attempt to downplay the rumours.
The two were spotted in light conversation walking to the annual Christmas Day church service, while the Duchess of Cambridge was also seen smiling at baby Archie’s christenings service.
The two were also chatting at the Wimbledon Ladies Single’s final this year, looking more comfortable than when the pair attended the tennis tournament last summer.
Insiders have also revealed the pair does occasionally exchange text messages offering parental advice.

The fab four met up at Easter, with the Cambridges bringing Harry and Meghan a housewarming present as they visited their new Frogmore Cottage home.
Royal officials have continuously declined to comment about the allegations of a feud.
But Meghan has caused controversy since becoming a senior member of the royal family, prompting a string of headlines.
Her demands for privacy have also escalated and have angered some royal buffs.
Meghan banned members of the public from taking pictures of her at Wimbledon as she was attending in a private capacity, despite BBC cameras showing she was there.
Reporters and photographers were also banned from Archie’s christening, with two posed-for images being released after the event.
Her stance was contrasted to the Duchess of Cambridge, who allowed a mass of photographers to Prince Louis christening last year.

The snub was criticised by many, with E! News correspondent Melanie Bromley saying Meghan and Harry’s private approach didn’t make the pair look great.
She said: “I think it makes then look a little bit entitled.
“The thing about these christenings, and we saw it with William and Kate – and of course, her children are heirs to the throne now and much higher up in the pecking order – but you give a little bit.”
