Latest Engagement Update: Everyone’s eye was on Meghan Markle Ring Finger
SPECULATION has surfaced over whether Meghan Markle was wearing an engagement ring as she attended the opening ceremony of Prince Harry’s Invictus Games.
Reports have surfaced that Prince Harry is set to propose to the Suits actress in the near future.
And speculation has only intensified after Ms Markle’s older brother earlier this week warned Prince Harry that he needs to hurry up and pop the question.
Thomas Markle Jr said: “I hope Prince Harry proposes. She’s a hot commodity right now – he better get on it.
“I do have a sense of pride in Meghan being successful. It was just obvious from day one that she was destined to be somewhere really big.”
The Suits actress’ appearance at the ceremony marks the first time she has joined Prince Harry for an official event.
But upon close examination Ms Markle appeared to not be wearing an engagement ring.
Ms Markle and Harry were not even sitting together as the Prince sat alongside Melania Trump as the event kicked off.
The ceremony in Toronto, Canada, began this morning (Saturday evening local time) and the couple were seen sitting in the stands of the Air Canada Centre.
Prince Harry was just a few feet away from his girlfriend as he sat next directly next to Mrs Trump who he had spoken with before the ceremony.
Meghan Markle lives in Toronto while filming Suits but has so far not appeared with Harry since he arrived in the city.
Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games for injured servicemen and servicewomen back in 2014.
After the inaugural games in London and the second last year in Orlando, Florida, the third games in Toronto will feature more nations and competitors than ever before.
Some 550 competitors from 17 nations will take part in 12 adaptive sports.
Meghan, who has been dating Harry for just over a year, declared her love for him in an interview with Vanity Fair published earlier this month.
“We’re two people who are really happy and in love,” she said.
“I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us.”
