KATE MIDDLETON, the Duchess of Cambridge, ignored one of the Queen’s style rules when she stepped out at Wisley Gardens today.
Kate Middleton looked to be holding on to the summer as she was pictured out in Woking, Surrey this afternoon. The Duchess of Cambridge, 37, was pictured wearing a pale blue floral shirt dress during a visit to the “Back To Nature” festival, which was held at the RHS Garden Wisley in Woking. The floor length shirt dress is from New Zealand fashion designer Emilia Wickstead and is currently retailing for £1635. Kate wore her hair in a soft wave with her trade mark middle part style, and rocked a pair of gold dangling earrings.

However, while a standout print, it wasn’t the dress she chose which would have caught the attention of the Queen.
Kate paired the dress with a pair of very high wedges – a style of shoe which the Queen is said to detest.
One royal insider told The Sun’s Fabulous Digital the Queen cannot abide ripped jeans and wedge sandals.
Speaking about Meghan Markle potentially visiting Balmoral this summer, the source said: “The Queen is no favourite of jeans so the US boyfriend look and ripped jeans will be left in Frogmore Cottage along with any wedges which her Majesty hates with a passion.”
Aside from her wedges, Kate accessorised with her Sapphire engagement ring, which previously belonged to Prince William’s mother Princess Diana.
Opting for a natural look, Kate kept her make up simple, wearing mascara, bronzed cheeks and a nude lip.

The Duchess was all smiles as she posed for photos at the event.
In one image she could be seen chatting to a young school boy playing in the sand.
The Duchess designed the Back to Nature garden, which first debuted at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show earlier this year. This is its third iteration.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have been involved in the making of the Chelsea garden.
On the official Kensington royal Instagram page, a post reads: “Over the past months, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have helped The Duchess gather moss, leaves and twigs to help decorate @The_RHS Back to Nature Garden. Hazel sticks collected by the family were also used to make the garden’s den.

The Duchess previously told Monty Don in an interview for the BBC: “I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young children.
“I really hope that this woodland that we have created really inspires families, kids and communities to get outside, enjoy nature and the outdoors, and spend quality time together.”
The 37-year-old is often pictured wearing gorgeous pieces from her wardrobe. Just last week, she wore another floral dress to Princess Charlotte’s first day of school.
Kate wore a Michael Kors dress, which costs just £150.50, a steal compared to much of the royals wardrobe.
However, the dress, described as a “belted floral-print crepe midi dress”, is sold out.
She accessorised with navy blue suede stilettos with a pointed toe and simple silver hoop earrings.
