Kate Middleton Pregnancy Update: Worst Of The Condition Is Behind Her
Kate Middleton has had a rough pregnancy so far, but the Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly getting better.
In September, Kensington Palace announced on Twitter that Middleton and her husband, Prince William, are expecting royal baby no. 3. However, the palace also revealed that the Duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe morning sickness that has prevented her from attending various royal engagements, as well as accompanying her son Prince George on his first day of school. Fortunately, a source has claimed that Middleton is reportedly in a much better condition now.
Middleton’s family reportedly believes that the worst of her condition is already behind them. “She has such a rotten time during this early month,” a source told E! News. “But she’s out of the woods now and doing well.”
When Middleton entered her second trimester, the mom-of-two reportedly started to enjoy her pregnancy. This could be why Middleton seems to be ready to get back to fulfilling her royal duties.
On Tuesday, Middleton is expected to attend a reception at the Buckingham Palace for World Mental Health Day. The event is a celebration for those who are working in the mental health field across the United Kingdom. Guests from across the country are invited to join the royals and the other participants. The Duchess of Cambridge will be attending with Prince William and Prince Harry, all three of whom are mental health advocates.
Middleton’s return to her royal engagements will not be difficult as her new private secretary, Catherine Quinn, is already hard at work. Quinn is expected to help Middleton prepare for the event. It will be Middleton’s first public appearance since the palace announced her third pregnancy.
Meanwhile, in September, Middleton appeared in a short mental health film, titled “Talking Mental Health,” by Anna Freud NCCF following the announcement of her pregnancy. In the film, Middleton explained mental health and why it is an important aspect of people’s lives.
“Hello, mental health is how we feel and think things that can’t really be seen but that affect us every day and talking about them can feel difficult,” Middleton says in the clip, introducing the animation. “A charity called the Anna Freud National Center for Children and Families have made this animation with children just like you.”
