KATE, DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE and Prince William were greeted by hoards of delighted fans during a visit to Bradford this week. While the Duchess looked stylish as ever there was one key sign she may not always be as graceful as she seems.
Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William delighted fans in Bradford as they visited community projects in the West Yorkshire city to promote social cohesion on Wednesday. Kate’s outfit choice caused a storm as she paired a striking green Alexander McQueen coat with a £15.99 black and white Zara dress.
However, there was one small detail about the Duchess’s ensemble which hinted at her less elegant side.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted Kate was sporting a nude plaster on her right thumb.
This is not the first time she has been seen wearing a band-aid in public but every time she does fans are fascinated to find out why.
Some speculated on social media that the frequency of Kate’s plaster use may suggest a skin complaint.

However, the most likely explanation seems to be small nicks she may get from being an avid cook.
Although the reason Kate often wears plasters has not been confirmed, she may have hinted at it ahead of Christmas.
When Kate and Prince William teamed up with TV chef Mary Berry for a Christmas show, Kate revealed she loves to cook and garden.
Speaking on the BBC’s A Berry Royal Christmas Kate told Mary: “We grow our own vegetables.

She added: “We’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot – a massive favourite.
“Louis absolutely loves beetroot.”
Kate also let slip that she is in charge of making the birthday cakes in their household and loves staying up late to do so.
She said: “It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up until midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much. But I love it.”
In the same show, Kate revealed an accident she once had in the kitchen.
Speaking while preparing non-alcoholic cocktails on the programme, she said: “This is where you’ve got to make sure you’ve put the lid on it before you shake it.
“I did this with a spinach soup once, and forgot to put the lid on it. I ended up with spinach soup on the ceiling.”
During their time in Bradford this week, Kate also let slip how she had struggled to master knitting when Prince George was a baby.
When the Duchess met a group of women crocheting at the Bradford Khidmat Centre, she revealed how one of her attempts to knit George a jumper had ended in disaster.

Speaking to the women who had made blankets for all three of Kate’s children, she said: “I tried knitting when I first had George.
“I tried to knit him a very special jumper, but I got halfway down and it splattered.”
The Duchess of Cambridge added: “It’s such an amazing skill.”
Kate and William’s first engagement of the year was deemed a royal success amid the turmoil caused by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s withdrawal.
