Kate Middleton pays tribute to Queen with adorable new photograph

THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE appeared to have added a photograph featuring The Queen to her desk for her most recent video call.

Kate spoke with a number of parents about supporting children during the coronavirus pandemic.

She admitted looking after her children during lockdown has been “exhausting”.

Behind the Duchess was a desk on which sat photographs of her and Prince William’s family.

Eagle-eyed royal fans noted a picture from Princess Charlotte’s christening in 2015, featuring the reigning monarch.

The Queen is in the centre of the photo in a striking pink dress with Kate to her left holding Princess Charlotte.

Prince William is to the monarch’s right cuddling with Prince George, then aged two.

Prince Charles, Prince Philip and the Duchess of Cornwall stand behind the group to complete the portrait.

Other photos placed on the desk include those showing George and Charlotte on their first day of school and one of Prince Louis in a garden.

Kate and William are currently living in Anmer Hall, their Norfolk home, along with their three children.

The family moved there shortly before the most recent coronavirus lockdown was imposed, with virtual schooling meaning they no longer had to stay near London.

Kate noted parents have been forced to take on many new roles during the Covid-19 pandemic.

She said: “We’ve had to become a teacher – and I think, personally, I feel pulled in so many different directions and you try your best with everything, but at the end of the day I do feel exhausted.

“I think as parents you’ve the day-to-day elements of being a parent, but I suppose during lockdown we have had to take on additional roles that perhaps others in our communities, or in our lives, would have perhaps supported us and helped us with.”

Earlier this month the Government closed schools for all but essential workers in a bid to slow the spread of a new more infectious variant of Covid-19.

On Friday, Boris Johnson admitted March 8 is the “earliest” they could reopen again.

During the video call Kate spoke about the importance of looking after your mental health during lockdown.

She said: “Being able to share your own experience with others who are going through the same thing makes it feel less daunting and makes you feel less isolated.

“So it’s really important to reach out to loved ones and friends.”

In November, Prince William announced he had caught coronavirus earlier in the year, but kept the knowledge private to avoid causing undue public alarm.
