KATE MIDDLETON, the Duchess of Cambridge, is expecting her third baby. Now the due date has been revealed to be 23 April, St George’s Day. She and Prince William, 35, already have two children, Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two.
Odds of 10/1 are on offer that Kate Middleton gives birth on St George’s Day, according to Ladbrokes.
Following reports that the Duchess of Cambridge’s due date is around the iconic day, the bookies make it a 10/1 chance that Kate and William’s third child is born on April 23rd.
It’s still a shade of odds-on at 10/11 that the latest addition to the Royal family is a little girl, or there’s an even money chance that Prince George and Princess Charlotte welcome a brother.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “It would be such a wonderful coincidence if Kate was to give birth on St George’s Day, and patriotic punters have forced us to cut the odds on the newest member of the Royal family entering the world on April 23rd.”
Kate Middleton, 36, has been given the due date for her third child, according to sources.
The Duchess of Cambridge is already a mother-of-two to Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two.
But that is set to change imminently, an the baby may well be born on a very special day.
Sources have said the third royal baby could arrive on 23 April, St George’s Day.
A source told the Sun: “There’s no certainty with due dates of course but the Duchess is working off a date around St George’s Day and it would be a lovely patriotic coincidence if he or she were born then.”
St George’s Day is a celebration of English Christian figurehead Saint George.
The religious figure is said to have slain a dragon in the UK, although accounts of this event are unverifiable.
Now the day is often a day of general celebration, and a good excuse for many Britons to go to the pub or have a meal with family.

However, Kate’s third baby could be born on another special day, if the birth comes later than expected.
The royal source added: “Or if she’s very late, as she was with George’s birth, she could even make it a very special wedding anniversary present to William, as they celebrate seven years of marriage on the 29th April.”
