KATE MIDDLETON, 37, and Prince William, 37, can sometimes seem to have a very easy life when they are pictured with their cherubic children, Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, one. There was one occasion when they were travelling, however, when they made a mistake just like anyone else.
Kate Middleton and Prince William are rarely associated with things going wrong. From an outsider’s perspective, whenever the Royal Family travels it appears to go very smoothly. There’s no frantically trying to make everything fit into the suitcase measurer at the airport and wearing as many clothes as possible to beat the restrictions. There’s no being squeezed onto a Ryanair flight and being surrounded by boozy youths caterwauling.
Kate Middleton: Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William made this travel mistake with train
There’s no luggage being mislaid en route and trying to convey the problem to an apathetic airport worker who doesn’t speak English.
In short, life and travel for the Royals can seem pretty easy – but it doesn’t always go swimmingly, it would seem.
There was once an occasion that showed Kate and William do sometimes have the same travel issues as any other Briton.
This was proved when the now-parents-of-three made a rather large blunder at the train station.
The Duchess of Cambridge, who was pregnant with Louis at the time, William, George and Charlotte accidentally missed the train they were supposed to catch.
The basic travel faux-pas was made at Chester Railway Station in November 2017.

They were supposed to travel on the 2.33pm train to London – but did not manage to board on time.
However, while this would leave many a British family foaming at the mouth and battling with timetables, the Royals had a much calmer solution.
The Cambridges boarded a private empty train to Crewe, where they were able to pick up their missed train – which travels through the station on its route to London.
Stephen Foote, a solicitor with Allington Hughes Law, came across the royals at the Chester railway station.
He told local paper Cheshire Live at the time that he had seen the group next to Range Rovers in the Carriage Shed where one can gain direct access to the platforms without going through the main entrance.

“There was one plainclothes officer who asked me to walk a different route to get to my car parked in City Place,” Foote said.
“No outriders. Looked like two Range Rovers. Think the children were with them.”
He added: “William looked very ordinarily dressed in a green sweater and Nike trainers.”
Photos taken by Foote show a nanny holding Charlotte as William dealt with the car.
It was speculated on social media that the Royals were in the area visiting Eaton Hall where the Grosvenors hold an annual bonfire and fireworks display.
When Kate Middleton travels with her children there’s often one thing she’ll bring with her.
The Duchess of Cambridge keeps snacks to hand for her little ones.
When Kate was seen in a car on a trip to the Royal Society of Medicine in 2017 she was spotted with supplies.
Behind her appeared to be a Tupperware full of snacks left on the car seat armrest.
