Kate dazzles for Princess Eugenie Royal Wedding at St George’s Chapel – pictures
Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge has arrived for Princess Eugenie’s wedding, in her third official outing since she took time off during her maternity leave.
The Duchess looked stunning in a bright pink dress, as she walked alongside her husband Prince William.
Royal watchers had speculated whether Kate would recycle an old outfit for the nuptials to keep all eyes on Princess Eugenie.
The Duchess is wearing a dress of the same designer she wore at Meghan Markle’s wedding in May, Alexander McQueen.
On that occasion, she wore a coat dress which she had previously used for Princess Charlotte’s christening.
Beaming Kate was all smiles as she entered the chapel, despite the fierce wind forced her to keep a hand on her hat to make sure she won’t lose it.
After shaking the archibishop’s hand, the duchess took her seat next to her husband inside the splendid chapel.
The couple looked cosy and loved-up, with Kate lovingly putting a hand on the prince’s thigh while speaking to her brother-in-law, Prince Harry.
On the first Royal Wedding of the year, the one that saw Meghan Markle saying ‘yes’ to Harry, Kate was not sitting next to her husband, as he was the groom’s best man.
This time, however, husband and wife are next to each other.
Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, arrived shortly before the Cambridge’s and are sitting between them and Princess Anne, the Queen’s only daughter.
It is a proud day for Kate and William, who will watch their two eldest children Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, three, act as page boy and bridesmaid.
It is believed little Charlotte will be joined in her role by the daughter of two A-listers, Robbie William and Ayda Field’s first child, Theodora Rose.
More than 850 people are believed to have been invited to the ceremony, taking place in Windsor’s St George’s Chapel.
And thousands more have gathered to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds, who will take a carriage ride after the ceremony.
The route was revealed yesterday on Twitter by the proud father of the bride, Prince Andrew, who posted on the social media a map showing were Eugenie and Jack’s carriages will go.
The loved-up couple’s ride will be shorter than the route taken by Prince Harry and Meghan on their wedding day earlier this year.
According to the map, the carriage will take off from St George’s Chapel.
From there, it will go through Windsor Town.
Finally, the newlyweds will return to Windsor Castle while going along Cambridge Drive.
This second Royal Wedding echoed on some details the one celebrated on May 19, as it took place at the same venue.
Kate attended Meghan and Harry’s ceremony despite being on a maternity leave, as she gave birth to her third child Prince Louis less than a month before.
But now the Duchess has returned to work with a bang after a five-month break.
This week she attended the V&A on Wednesday night, as well as the first Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit at County Hall, London, alongside Prince William on Tuesday.
Her first public engagement since giving birth was last week when she met pupils from The Sayers Croft Forest School in Paddington, London.
