PIPPA MIDDLETON revealed how she was massively “embarrassed” in the aftermath of her sister’s 2011 royal wedding during an unearthed interview.
Pippa Middleton, the sister of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, is described as a glitzy and glamorous figure of the Royal Family. In recent years, Pippa has all but retired from the public eye – after she married James Matthews in 2017. Six years prior, Pippa burst onto the scene after fulfilling the role of maid of honour at Kate and Prince William’s wedding.
Several photos of her reached the front pages, with the nation seemingly besotted by her stunning appearance.
The daughter of business owners, Pippa’s life in the years following would change measurably.
She became something of a royal celebrity in the months following Kate’s wedding.
It came as she wore what she has described as a “flattering” dress.

Despite the positives that come with increased recognition, Pippa revealed during a 2014 interview with NBC’s Today show how she was extremely “embarrassed” by the way in which the attention came.
Today’s Matt Lauer noted how it wasn’t long before people diverted their attention from Kate and William to Pippa.
He said: “For lack of a better way to explain it, the way your dress fits.”
Pippa replied: “It was completely unexpected.

“The plan was not really for it to be a significant dress – really it was meant to blend in with the train.
“I suppose it’s flattering.”
Mr Lauer asked: “A little embarrassing?”
Pippa responded: “Yes, embarrassing, definitely.

“It wasn’t planned, the dress was almost meant to be insignificant.”
Later on in the interview, Pippa revealed how the attention had brought a fair amount of bullying.
She explained: “I think the plan was for it not to be a significant dress, for it just to blend in with the train.

She went on to reveal how much her life had changed since the wedding.
She said: “It’s been a bit difficult because effectively I’m just trying to live a life like any other 30-year-old.
“I have felt publicly bullied a little bit.
“I think people think they can say something about you online or on a web page when they would never say it to your face.”
Mr Lauer replied: “Anonymity is a very powerful thing.”

Pippa said: “Yeah, you’ve just got to sort of keep bouncing back and carrying on and trying not to let it affect you is hard.”
Pippa has reclined into private life since the wedding.
She works for her parents online party business, having thrown legendary parties including Kate and William’s post-wedding celebrations.
Other careers were made available to her, according to reports.
She allegedly turned down a career in TV presenting, refused lucrative contracts with glossy magazines, and even an offer of £300,000 to appear on Oprah Winfrey’s US talk show.
