LADY Gabriella Windsor seems to have taken inspiration for her big day from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Royal Wedding as she will literally follow the Duchess of Sussex’s footsteps on her wedding day.
The 38-year-old writer is to become the third royal bride in 12 months to get married in Windsor. Lady Gabriella will marry her fiancé, financier Thomas Kingston, on May 18, just one day before Meghan and Harry’s first wedding anniversary. The big day of the bride-to-be, the only daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and 52nd in line to the throne, will bring comparisons to the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as they share many similarities. Just like Meghan, Lady Gabriella will be a May bride to wed in the splendid 16th-century St George’s Chapel, on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew’s youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, who married Jack Brooksbank on October 12, also celebrated her big day surrounded by friends, family and celebrities, in the same chapel.
But, unlike Lady Gabriella, she held her reception at the Royal Lodge, where the Duke and Duchess of York live together.
On the other hand, Lady Gabriella chose to have her wedding reception at Frogmore House, exactly where Meghan and Harry jetted off to in a vintage Jaguar E-Type after a lunch hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at the castle.
The Frogmore House’s evening reception was hosted by the father of the groom, Prince Charles, who invited 200 people to carry on with the celebrations, as announced by Kensington Palace.

In a tweet, the former PR office of Meghan and Harry said: “Guests have been invited to the service at St George’s Chapel and to the lunchtime reception at St George’s Hall, which is being given by Her Majesty The Queen.
“Later that evening, around 200 guests are being invited to the reception at Frogmore House given by The Prince of Wales.”
Despite the similarities between Lady Gabriella and Meghan’s weddings, the nuptials of the 52nd’s in line to the throne will be a private matter, according to the royal palaces.
Lady Gabriella and Thomas Kingston’s wedding won’t be televised and they won’t have a carriage parade around Windsor.

However, several high profile royals are expected to attend the nuptials.
While it is not known the exact number of people attending Lady Gabriella’s wedding, some members of the Royal Family have already confirmed they will head to St George’s Chapel on Saturday for her big day.
Among them, there is the Queen, as stated by Buckingham Palace.
They said in a statement: “The wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Mr Thomas Kingston will take place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on Saturday 18th May 2019.

“The wedding will be attended by Her Majesty The Queen, accompanied by Members of the Royal Family.
“The marriage ceremony will commence at 12pm, conducted by the Dean of Windsor, The Right Revd David Conner.”
Pippa Middleton is also expected to attend with her husband James Matthews, with Pippa a long-time friend of Mr Kingston.
Prince William will attend the FA Cup at Wembley which is being held on the same day, although he could still attend with wife Kate after the match.
