Find out why Prince William looked Petrified at Royal Wedding?

‘He looked petrified’ Guest at Duke & Duchess’ union reveals what occurs at royal wedding

Prince William looked visibly sick and was completely petrified on his wedding day to Kate Middleton, according to a royal insider.

Duncan Larcombe, a royal editor, was one of 1,900 guests who were invited to watch the nuptials between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

He was only one of six journalists who witnessed the spectacular event at Westminster Abbey in London in 2011.

But Mr Larcombe revealed to Elle that in the moments leading up to Kate’s grand entrance, the prince looked visibly nervous and had to use a side room to calm down.

He described how everyone was seated in the Abbey and guests were all required to arrive before the Queen who was the second to last person to arrive ahead of the bride.

He told Elle: “Before Kate arrived, William went to compose himself with Harry in a room just off Poet’s Corner (an area in Westminster Abbey). “

Mr Larcombe said: “We were sat near there so they both walked straight past us and William looked absolutely terrified.”

The Royal wedding had a guest list that read like a who’s who including – former prime minister David Cameron, the Queen, European royalty, and celebrities such as Sir Elton John and David and Victoria Beckham.

However he stresses that regardless of title, everyone was treated the same way and had to sit on the same folding chairs in the Abbey to wait for the bride.

Kate walked down the aisle of the Abbey accompanied by her father Michael Middleton.

And the ceremony, watched by an audience of 24 million in the UK alone and an estimated two billion people worldwide went off without a hitch.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds invited a small selection of guests back to Buckingham Palace to an event attended by the Queen.

The royal editor’s recollection of the big day comes as speculation mounts that Prince Harry is set to propose to his girlfriend, the glamorous actress Meghan Markle.

The couple made their first public engagement at the prince’s Invictus games in Toronto, Canada, last month.

Harry and Meghan, who are “very much in love” are rumoured to have had tea with the Queen and Harry was seen looking close with his girlfriend’s mum, Doria.

The rumour mill is in overdrive that the palace is preparing for an imminent engagement between the pair.

And the relationship is said to be very serious by people close to the couple.
