Baby Archie Balmoral: Queen ‘enormously’ excited to host Meghan Markle, Archie, and Harry

THE QUEEN and her husband Prince Philip are at Balmoral enjoying a well-earned holiday and this year the Queen can’t wait to host Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with their son Archie, a royal commentator has claimed.

Queen Elizabeth II is famously at ease at her Scottish estate Balmoral and makes the trip to Aberdeenshire every year. Her Majesty enjoys hosting family members there throughout the summer and is excited to host Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and baby Archie Harrison this year, according to one royal commentator.

The Queen had to delay her Balmoral visit this year in order to see in new Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

As head of state, the 93-year-old monarch has a weekly meeting with the PM and has had a busy time with Brexit fast approaching.

The Queen and Prince Philip, 98, arrived in Balmoral on August 6 and are no doubt happy to be away from the capital for a bit.

Last year they were joined by Kate, William and the Cambridge tots for a stint and this year it is likely Meghan and Harry will visit.

Richard Fitzwilliams told “It would seem likely that Harry and Meghan will take Archie to Balmoral this year to be with the Queen, especially as this will be a special time for them with Archie born so recently.

“The Queen is able to relax there as the politicians to take a break. The country seems to be heading into political chaos which might involve the Queen and her, ever conscious of attending to her red boxes, will enjoy a well deserved holiday as the Brexit storm clouds gather and October 31st looms ever nearer.”

The Queen has hosted a long line of royal family members at Balmoral in the past including Prince Harry’s late mother Princess Diana.

According to Mr Fitzwilliam’s Diana had a love/hate relationship with the Scottish Castle.

Mr. Fitzwilliams said: “We won’t be told any details but would be interesting to know how Meghan, a city dweller, fares at Balmoral.

“Diana initially appeared to enjoy it there but subsequently hated it.

“Meghan has faced considerable criticism in recent months with her recent guest editorship of British Vogue having a generally hostile reception.

“The Queen is obviously fond of her and if reports of their visit are correct, will be looking forward to it enormously.”

Balmoral is one of the few royal residences where the family can relax in privacy.

While royal fans may hope to catch a glimpse of baby Archie with his grandmother it is possible that no photos, other than ones shared by the royals themselves will emerge.

The Queen’s holiday could be cut short by Brexit crisis.

If a vote of no confidence is called against Boris Johnson when Westminster returns from summer recess in September.

If a snap election is called or if Boris Johnson is forced to resign, the Queen will have to return to London to oversee proceedings.
