Royal Baby: Kate Middleton’s third child will get this honour George and Charlotte didn’t
KATE MIDDLETON, the Duchess of Cambridge, is set give birth to her third child soon. Her due date is the end of April – and Kensington Palace and the Royal Family have bestowed an honour on the third child that Princess Charlotte, two, and Prince George, four, did not get.
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is due to have her third child in April 2018.
The royal baby will be a brother or sister to Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two. However, Prince William, 35, and Kate Middleton, 36, have adopted a new plan for their third baby.
The latest royal child will get an all new honour from Kensington Palace in a first for any member of the Royal Family.
In a savvy move by the palace, and an attempt to modernise, Kensington Palace set the new web page live last week dedicated to the baby.
This also prompted speculation that Kate Middleton is due to give birth imminently.
The website, www.royal.uk/baby, feature updates all about the couple’s third child.
The site states: “Updates will be posted on this page and on @KensingtonRoyal’s Twitter account as they become available.”
Now fans of the Cambridges and their children will have one place to go to get all their royal news from Kensington Palace.
Royal Baby: Kate Middleton due to get Kensington Palace honour for the third child
This is a departure from tradition for the Royals, who historically announced the arrival of babies on an easel outside of Buckingham Palace.
However, Kate and Wills also scored another royal first by announcing the birth of their second child Princess Charlotte on the Kensington Palace Twitter account.
What will Kate Middleton do before her baby is due? The Duchess of Cambridge has now gone on maternity leave.
Experts explained exclusively to Express.co.uk just what Kate will be doing before the birth, and how the royal will prepare for the new arrival.
What will the royal baby’s name be? Both Kate and Will’s children have names that are familiar to the Royal Family.
Bookies have been charting which baby names the public have been putting their money on.
It is thought that the royal baby’s name could be Alice, which is the name of Prince Philip’s late mother, whose full name was Princess Alice of Greece.
However, leading bookmaker Coral still makes Mary as the clear 4-1 favourite to be the name of Prince William and Kate’s third child.
